What is Elsewhere?+
Elsewhere is an iPhone app for finding flights and stays, comparing your options, and planning a trip with your travel group. Save a trip early, watch flights against each party’s private settings, and make decisions together.
Do I need an account to start?+
No. You can create and save a trip without an account. Sharing with a travel group and enabling a price watch are separate choices.
Can we plan a trip together?+
Yes. Share shortlists, vote on options and leave comments. A group can include couples, friends, families, or people travelling to an event or retreat. Each member can manage one or several travelers.
How does a group watch work?+
The organizer chooses a destination airport, fixed outbound and return dates, and 2–10 participating parties. Each party joins with its own departure airport, travelers, currency and total flight budget. Once every expected party has joined, Elsewhere can show when recent fares fit them all. Checks run every 12 hours once the dates reach the estimated booking window. Notifications are optional.
Can the group see my budget?+
No. Your departure airport, travelers, search settings, budget and individual fares stay private from the group. Elsewhere and its search provider process the criteria needed to check flights. The group sees how many parties joined, whether all parties match, and the number of ready responses.
Does a group match mean we are booked?+
No. A match uses recent fares, checked within the last 24 hours, and does not reserve seats. Each party explicitly responds when ready, then checks current prices, arrival times, baggage and final details before booking separately. This version matches fixed flight dates, not exact arrival times or hotel availability.
Will Elsewhere cost anything?+
Launch pricing has not been announced. The group watch is designed around the organizer’s plan, so invited parties can join without a paid plan of their own. This website does not take payments.
Can I watch a trip before flights are on sale?+
Yes. Set up a watch with your planned route and dates before fares are available. Elsewhere estimates when to begin checking closer to departure. Flight release dates vary by airline.
What does a flight watch look for?+
A watch checks for the first available fares and later price drops for your saved criteria. You can choose a target flight total and opt into notifications. Availability and prices can change; check the current fare before booking.
Does saving a trip start a price watch?+
No. Choose a price watch when you want one. You can pause, resume, stop, or delete it. Notifications are optional.
What can I do during the trip?+
Add stops, keep stays and saved places together, and explore restaurants, museums and other places around your destination.
Can I make a postcard after my trip?+
Yes. Choose your own photo or an illustration, crop it, add a note and up to three highlights, and make a silent six-second video in Feed or Story format. Dates are optional. Save a draft or export through your iPhone’s share menu. Photo processing and video creation happen on your phone.
Are the fares shown here live?+
No. The app screens use a sample trip and sample fares. Check current prices and availability with the provider before booking.
Can I download Elsewhere yet?+
Elsewhere is coming to iPhone. The website currently offers a preview; a download link will appear here when the app is available.
